Include Immunity Boosters in Diet

July 29, 2015

Most of the people are suffering from some or the other disease. Most of these diseases are viral or bacterial in origin and are transmitted from an infected person. Rather than looking for ways or medicines to cure diseases, it is better to include immunity boosters in diet so as to avoid falling a pray to any such disease.

In early days, people were bestowed with longer life span as they rarely fell ill, but in today’s life, there it is rare to find one such individual who is not suffering from any health related issue. People can escape the chances of falling ill, if they have good immune system. Immune system of the body is the capacity to fight with the disease causing germs. We cannot avoid accidents and mishaps, but if you take immunity boosters at right time, you can lessen the risk of getting infected with a disease-causing agent. As a stitch in time safes nine, the best time to care for health is now. For that, we need to know what all the immunity boosters and in what form can they be taken.

Vitamins A, B6, C, and E are the chief immunity boosters. Most of these vitamins can be found in fruits. Citrus fruits, in particular are rich in vitamin C, but fruits are not equally good in all seasons. Moreover, many people catch cold after eating them. Rather than proving beneficial, they would adversely affect the person. Another way is to take them in the form of some health supplement. There are various types of nutritional health supplements which are very effective in boosting immunity. Omega 3 fatty acids capsules are very good to strengthen immunity. So does the Oxyflax supplement as it is rich in flax seeds.

Fish liver oil which is included in Omega 3 capsules are also good as they help fighting the signs of ageing and makes people stronger against diseases. Healthy diet has always been advised to people to have a good immunity, but it is rare to achieve. In that case, health supplements and other products make it possible for people to achieve better health and longevity.

Diet Programs And Meals – The Fit For Life Diet

July 12, 2015

The Fit For Life Diet was created by Doctor Harvey Diamond. It is based on the principles of natural hygiene. Approximately half of your food intake comes from raw fruits and vegetables. The theory is that raw foods contain unaltered enzymes, which are destroyed by heat during cooking. By giving a place of privilege to raw foods you provide the body with extra energy from proteins and carbohydrates. Here are some of the diet principles.

Eat at least as much raw food as cooked food. Eat a lot of fruit. According to Doctor Diamond fruits are the most indispensable part of our diet. They contain fiber, are rich in glucides or fructose, and provide energy. Furthermore, they constitute the only foodstuffs that need not be digested by the stomach. Eat only fruit (or drink freshly prepared fruit juice) for breakfast. They help the body eliminate waste, a morning activity. Don’t eat too much. Give your body enough time to digest food. For example, wait half an hour after eating fruit, 90 minutes after salad, and three hours after cooked food. Drink your fruit juice slowly and don’t eat anything after seven o’clock, anything except fruit. It’s better not to drink coffee but if you must, eat a piece of fruit 15 minutes before your coffee. Don’t mix starches and protein in the same meal. One day a week you eat only raw food. Reduce your consumption of dairy products.

An advantage of the Fit For Life Diet is that it’s easy to follow. But it is quite strict; you may be hungry. Fruits just don’t keep you full for a long time. If you don’t have enough dairy products your system may lack zinc, calcium, vitamin B12 and vitamin D.

Here are two sample menus: Menu 1 Breakfast: A glass of water. An apple. Two kiwis. Mid-morning snack: An orange. Lunch: Grated carrots. Pasta with butter. Zucchini. Mushrooms. Supper: Tomato juice. Green salad containing tomatoes and asparagus. Mixed vegetables.

Menu 2 Breakfast: A glass of water. Home made fruit salad. Mid-morning snack: A few pineapple slices. Lunch: Potato salad with onions, parsley, and mayonnaise. Supper: Green salad. Spaghetti with tomato sauce.

Some information in this article comes from a fascinating new book, La Bible des Regimes, written by Jenny de Jonquieres and published by Amerik Media. Her book describes more than 80 diets and weight reduction programs. Each diet is presented with 5 menu plans, a detailed discussion of its advantages and disadvantages, and lots more. La Bible des Regimes is available only in French at present.

Quick Weight Loss Diet Plan

July 4, 2015

With all of these talks about obesity, lifestyle concerns, as well as important health issues going on, having a quick weight loss diet plan is necessary. This is because time is scarce and as more people spend their time dealing with stress at work, they also end up consuming delicious but fatty foods (note: commercialized foods that have been marketed so aggressively) and don’t get too many chances to work out. The result will be tremendous weight gain, possible undisciplined consumption and a series of health setbacks. As such, dieting is a must and it has to be done fast before it is too late.

The diet plan is the first step to not just changing the way to eat and choose food, but it is also the first step to adapting a healthier lifestyle. This also means taking into account the nutritional value, the calorie count and other elements that food and beverages have. A diet plan that is healthy and useful on losing weight is the fruits and vegetable diet. t.

For breakfast, a person can have a cup of broccoli, a fresh fruit (example: an apple), whole wheat bread and a glass of milk (or a cup of coffee) to start the day. For lunch, a set of vegetable salad in a bowl (lettuce, carrots, cucumber to name a few), a bowl of soup (cream of asparagus), a piece of banana and a cup of green tea is recommended. For dinner, having a set composed of macaroni salad, a cup of corn kernels, a serving of five soda crackers, and a cup of strawberries makes sense.

This quick weight loss diet plan mentioned is guaranteed to work and people who have gotten used to meat-oriented food will find it convenient to adapt while satisfying their hunger. The combination of fruits and vegetables will not only satisfy the hunger but also help improve the body’s metabolism move at a faster rate. A higher metabolism level will lead to improved burning of body fat and if this can be maintained, shedding off the pounds and reshaping the body can be done.

Fatty Liver Diet – A Quick Cheat Sheet For Reducing Fat In Your Liver

June 23, 2015

First and foremost, a fatty liver diet should focus on moderation and balance. A good diet plan for people with fatty liver disease (FLD) isn’t much different than a healthy diet for the average person. You want foods with high nutritional value, and you don’t want to eat anything in excess.

The overall goal of a fatty liver diet is to reduce fat intake and encourage the body to use up all available calories as energy. In doing so, the excess storage of fats and carbohydrates in the body can be reduced or eliminated.

Many FLD patients are overweight and/or obese, so coupling a good diet with a strong exercise program can help maximize results to further reduce fat in the liver. What’s good for your liver is almost always good for the rest of your body, so the right diet plan for fatty liver can improve overall health and not just the health of your liver.

A properly balanced diet for FLD patients will consist of approximately 20-30% protein, 60-70% carbohydrates, and 20-30% fats. Fats should never exceed 30% of the caloric intake.

It’s also important to note that carbohydrates should be complex and not simple in nature. Complex carbohydrates include those found in things like whole grains and pasta. Simple carbohydrates are those found in candy and other sweets and should be avoided. These are the carbohydrates that tend to get stored in adipose cells, leading to weight gain.

Vitamins and minerals are also extremely important because they play star roles in things like metabolism, growth, development, hormone creation, and the formation of red blood cells. They can be extremely beneficial, but certain vitamins and minerals can also be extremely harmful if taken in excess.

Things like folate (folic acid), vitamins B1 (thiamine), B2 (riboflavin), B6 (pyridoxine), B12 (cobalamine), manganese, and selenium are all healthy for the liver. The best sources to obtain these vitamins and minerals from are fruits and vegetables, particularly greens, leaves, and those rich in vitamin C.

However, keep in mind not all fruits are good for fatty liver patients, so a generalized diet statement like, “Eat more fruits and vegetables” may not be extremely beneficial or hold much value. Fruits containing high levels of fructose such as dates, raisins, and figs should be avoided. The reason for this is fructose is more readily converted to fat in the liver than glucose which means it can do more harm than good for people with fatty liver disease.
